Payback time

Nothing in life comes for free.So here we are paying a price for our sins.I am not talking about our personal sins.....but the ones done by our contemporaries and also our ancestors as a whole.Ancient Hindustan and also the modern one has been always associated with lack of unity. You think i have lost my mind?Don't get carried away by the nationalistic fervour that you are suddenly seeing around you...bcoz whether you like it or not,it is Temporary.
Let me explain.Lets go 400 years back......the Mughals occupied Hindustan. How?Why?Simple.Lack of unity amongst the Maharajas. So they all got carried away and let an outsider come here and become an Emperor. Then in the 1800s come the British.Through the establishment of a tiny company they finally manage to overtake the entire country. How?Why? They knew the history of our land better than us.Divide and Rule was their funda.Divisions based on religion, caste and language.
Have we learnt our lessons? NO. We potray to the world.......Come to the land of diversity......where a mix of religions and linguists thrive together peacefully. What a joke! We still carry around our emotional baggage of the 1947 partition. We havent learnt from the Babri masjid demolition fiasco or the Godhra riots. To top this we suddenly have a joker in mumbai seperating us further on the lines of linguistic differences. This nation feeds on bias of various sorts. The Muslims have been asked to tie a black ribbon on their arms today on the occasion of Bakri-Id. Why just them?
Atrocities against Sikhs, against Catholics, against Muslims and against Hindus on different occasions are well known in our land. Do we want to repeat the same story all over again? And this time mind you......the ones wanting to invade are not people who want to administrate us......we have Terrorists waiting to expand not only their territory but also their ideas. We need to change the situation from within our minds. Lets stop distinguishing others (in any which way)......or else one fine day we wont even be left with a nation to live in......

RELIGION DIVIDES BUT GOD UNITES........lets not just say this but actually live this....

the edgy10 days..

It's been 10 days since the pakis..yes the pakis......entered Mumbai to ravage it.Many people including "humanitarian" mumbaikars wouldn't appreciate me refering to the terrorists/militants/cowards as pakis. But why????....yes, i agree terrorism can never belong to any ideology or religion but wat about a nationality? What about the place where they have been born, broughtup and fed with such horrendous thoughts? Why do we refuse to face the facts and accept them and have the guts to say it aloud? We are Indians not Americans who are obliged into being good to our geographical neighbour.Condoleeza Rice can afford to make statements saying the pakistan govt is committed to the cause and that they are victims too.She represents a country which fuels the pakistan economy and has vested interests in being supportive of them as the pak army helps american troops on the pak-afghan border.

I was present at the rally held by mumbaikars on 3rd dec 08 at gateway of india. It wasnt a peace protest of any sort as claimed by our foolish politicians on media channels. It was a "down with pak" rally. Why don't we get a bit more assertive and deal with our emotions. When i talk about teaching pak a lesson by attacking them, why do my friends.......all hard core mumbaiites not agree with me?I am sure all of them are as angry as i am......so what is stopping them? When will we stop being a soft nation and act tough???People say we must not blame the entire nation of pak and punish all as everyone is not the same....but the question is DO WE CARE??

If the people of pak(the sensible ones) are not to b held responsible for the sorry state that their country is in.....who is?They are responsible for the pathetic leadership its had since so many years, for letting the tribal areas getting infested with militants who are now so powerful that even the president is afraid of them and for generally being lazy. Its high time this nation wakes upto the situation it has created in the globe. When will the "ignorant/fanatic/apathetic/innocent" people of pak wake up and smell the burnt coffee? If they cant handle the situation back home, the least they can do is ask for help in the most humble way......that we are incapable of reigning in our own people so please help us by enetering our soil and taking them down. But no.......they wont even do that much. After all pride..false pride may i add....is all they are left with......"Pakistan is an international migraine" as said by former US secratary of state Madeliene Albright.....but when will the current secretary say the same??

The people of India need a solution. If u have any suggestions please do write in.....

Hail Mumbai!

I have named this one as Hail Mumbai but it could very well be Hell Mumbai.I love this city so much that it is difficult to not get emotional when it comes under a mindless seige every now and then by some brainwashed jerks. After 26th july 2005 this is another 26th which Mumbai will never forget. But where we had only ourselves to blame on what happened on the day Mumbai went under water, this time we are clueless as to why we were targetted yet again by "Terrorists".Actually i dont think its right to call them with that name as it signifies exactly what THEY think they do-terrorize ppl.....haha.....could they be any more wrong??
Today's headline in Times Of India says-WAR ON MUMBAI.Can these heartless monsters please explain why a war......and why Mumbai? They kept people hostage at Taj Hotel,Trident Hotel,Nariman House and Cama Hospital. Why?Any hostage situation occurs due to sum unmet demand. What was the demand in this case? The attackers were young men quite fashionably dressed. What makes these guys' brain tick in a way that leaves the whole world astonished at the monstrous side of humans. No one seems to have any answers.Press conferences are called,Cabinet meetings are held and blogs like these are written. But where is the solution to this unwanted massacre that happens time and again, not only in this city but cities around the globe.
Some people blame the Mujahideen, some ISI and yet others Afghanistan. The e-mail claiming the responsibility of the attack has originated from Russia. Can any one please make sense of all this and explain to us the exact need of the hour. What should we do to have and end to all this mayhem? Some divine intervention perhaps.......coz nothing else seems to have worked and i doubt will ever.....

A walk back home

We all know how unbearable the mumbai heat is right now.Travelling has become all the more horrid in this weather. To top this yesterday my all time friends in need-"the autorickshaws"decided to go off the roads. But this didnt mean my classes would declare a holiday so i had to actually reach them without my fav three wheeler machines.Reaching wasnt a problem as i got a friend to drop me off on his bike..ofcourse cruising through mumbai roads at 2'o clock in the afternoon on a vehicle without an overhead shelter is like one of the worst things you can do to yourself.Anyways the airconditioning in my classroom managed to soothe my half burnt skin.Yday i realised good things happening at a bad timing is as good as a bad thing happening. My classes gave us a chutti at 6 pm after just 2 lectures instead of the normal 8 pm time. All mumbaikars know that this time is the worst to travel in a public transport. So taking a bus back home was not even an option. So my whole gang of around 20 people who had to reach the railway station started the journey on foot.I have known these people for 2 months now.But a walk with them made me a lot more aware of their various personalities. There were those who remained at the rear end of the group throughout the 1 hr walk.Obviously these guys are the ones who never believe in leading the gang and are comfortable observing the whole world from their end.Opposite to these were the ones who always were at the forefront no matter what happened-the proactive ones i guess. There were 2-3 ones who tried their best to mingle with each and everyone in the whole group. They sometimes hung out at the end....then made their way right at the front and then joked around with the ones in the middle consciously trying to spend time with everyone-the ultra friendly and extroverts maybe?!There were some who inspite of being with their friends thought it was a good time to call up someone on their mobile and few who thought listening to their ipods was a better option thatn talking to humans around-lonely hearts?!.And then were the ones who walked at their own pace not bothering about who was next to them and as required moulded themselves according to the kind of people surrounding them at a given point.-peps who live life on their own terms despite the situations?!....also there were also some gurls who stuck to their best pal throughout-definite introverts and conventionalists.
Which category did i fit into?! ahaaaaa...now thats sumthing to chew on......heehee...
